We're looking for a writer/editor who can contribute to both our Japanese-language and English-language blogs, our Q&A platform uKnow!, as well as support content development for our social media accounts. Our content explores a wide range of topics and advice related to learning English and the culture of English-speaking countries, as well as our company and its services. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and editing skills in both Japanese and English, with writing and/or editing experience in at least one of those languages, preferably Japanese. Definite pluses include graphic skills such as for creating and editing visual content for Instagram, SEO knowledge, and experience with Google Analytics.

This is a full-time position that involves tasks at all stages of the content creation process including the pitching, researching, writing, editing, and promotion of new blog content. You will also create social media and marketing content, perform occasional translation tasks, and collaborate with our international materials team to help promote our company and its services.

Native-level Japanese skills, including excellent writing/editing skills in Japanese are essential. You must also be able to communicate comfortably and effectively in English. The ability to also write and edit in English at a high level is highly desirable, but not necessary for the right candidate.
日本語での優れた文章作成・編集能力を含む、ネイティブレベルの日本語能力が必須です。また、英語での快適かつ効果的なコミュニケーション能力も必要です。英語で高いレベルの文章を書き、編集できることが非常に望ましいですが、適切な候補者であれば必須ではありません。
Candidates must currently reside or be open to relocating within a commutable distance to Tokyo.

Main Duties 仕事内容
- Pitch and create content in Japanese (with some English components) for our blogs, social media accounts, and uKnow! service that will appeal to current students and tutors, and attract new ones to our service.
- Research topics that would be appropriate for our various platforms and translate/adapt successful content between them.
- Help improve existing content by editing, refreshing, and providing constructive feedback to our other writers.
- Occasionally translate content/documents between Japanese and English for other team members.
- Contribute to long term strategies for the improvement of our blogs and the growth of our audience.
- Develop creative ways to increase reach, followers, and user engagement on our various content platforms.
- ブログ、SNS、uKnow! サービスにおいて、現在の生徒や講師にアピールし、新規の生徒や講師を惹きつけるようなコンテンツを日本語（一部英語）で企画・作成する。
- さまざまなプラットフォームに適したトピックをリサーチし、成功したコンテンツを各プラットフォーム間で翻訳／適応させる。
- 既存のコンテンツを編集・リフレッシュし、他のライターに建設的なフィードバックを提供することで、コンテンツの改善に貢献する。
- 時折、他のチームメンバーのために日本語と英語の間でコンテンツや文書を翻訳する。
- ブログの改善や読者の増加のための長期戦略に貢献する。

- Native Level Japanese speaker. Able to write and edit Japanese at a high level, with a strong knowledge of grammar & punctuation.
